TV Couples Shipped
Show:
Angel
Couple: Cordelia and Angel
Reason: I wasn't an instant fan because I liked
Cordelia with Xander and with Doyle. But Angel was the one constant that she had
on the show. It wasn't until season 3 and the episode titled "Billy" that I knew
that there was just no way that this couple would get a decent storyline. It
hasn't stopped me from rooting for them. Even with my hopes low and the show
cancelled, I still like to believe that the possibility would have been
glorious.
Show:
Angel
Couple: Wes and Fred
Reason: Ever since they introduced Fred in season 2
I knew that she was perfect for Wes. They're both so adorably dorky. I loved how
Wes was immediately affected by Fred's presence (brain maybe). Irregardless he
was immediately smitten. But I hated how it wasn't until the very end that they
finally admitted to each other that they truly belonged together. I'm not very
happy with how it happened and the end but if you're looking for a story with
mucho angst and longing looks you've found the right pairing.
Show:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Couple: Spike and Buffy
Reason: This pairing sizzled and added a little
more softcore love making to the show. There's no other pairing out there that
did it so much in an episode like this two... and standing up to boot. I loved
watching her fight her feelings. She knew that nothing good could come out of
loving someone without a soul, not to mention that she's a slayer and he's a
vampire. But I'm a sucker for those "bloody English accents" and Spike and
Buffy's sexy diatribes was entertaining to watch.
Show:
ER
Couple: Doug and Carol
Reason: My first ER ship. She just always seemed
like she was beyond his reach. But I'm a sucker for nurse/doctor romances. It
was one of those pairing where you knew that they were meant for each other, but
the writers kept inserting other people to keep their lives from being the
happily ever after that most everyone wishes for.
Show:
ER
Couple: Carter and Abby
Reason: Okay another one of my default couples.
Carol just got her happily ever after with Doug and I was at loss for a couple.
Then boom Abby and Carter became it. He looked so cute trying to win her over
knowing that Luka was there all ready to snatch up Abby. Carter, first name
John, was there for her when trouble came-a-knockin'. First the boozing mother
then the brother then I think the mother again. Such a complicated and
dysfunctional family. But lo and behold, Carter was there to the rescue. They
just better get back together.
Show:
ER
Couple: Luka and Sam
Reason: I admit it! I have a thing for pairing
nurses with doctors. It's an after effect from the Doug/Carol pairing. They fit
well together, they just haven't completely realized it. Luka is a sucker for
the whole damsel in distress bit. Sam might not exactly fit the bill, but she's
definitely making a run for the title. If only that no good ex-husband would
just go away. Yes!! Another ER couple that just better get back together.
Show:
General Hospital
Couple: Liz and Lucky
Reason: My first all time favorite ship. This was
before I even knew the meaning of ships. I just happened to catch the first
scene between the two. I just knew that this pairing was going to be perfect.
She was the reckless girl who desperately wanted to belong and he was the aloof
boy who was pining away for Liz's older sister. There's no greater romance than
seeing unrequited love blossom into an all consuming forever kind of love. Too
bad J.J. had to leave the show and Liz got stuck with many not so suitable Lucky
replacements. My heart will always be reserved for these two original
characters.
Show:
General Hospital
Couple: Sonny and Brenda
Reason: The second pairing that I loved on GH. I
caught a bunch since their storyline was prominent when Liz/Lucky were on. I just
couldn't believe that he left her at the altar. But they just have so much
chemistry. I've been able to see some of their old scenes together, thanks to
the internet, and they were awesome. I was glad she came back and sad that she
couldn't stay. I'm a sucker for bad boy and good girl types of relationships.
Just imagine the possibilities.
Show:
General Hospital
Couple: Dillon and Georgie
Reason: I was happy that they aged Georgie and when
Dillon came into the show. Their first meeting and the chemistry filled kiss
sparked it all. I felt like I was back in the L/L time. She used Dillon to make
her crush jealous and oh how the tables turned because suddenly it wasn't all
about the other guy, but all about Dillon. I loved them, just loved them. GQ
rocked!! Their pairing also sparked my internet message boards obsession. And
the internet has never been the same.
Show:
General Hospital
Couple: Carly and Lorenzo
Reason: I was a Sonny and Carly fan, but only when
Carly was SB, but when TB showed up I lost interest. It wasn't until I got
sucked into watching GH again and caught GQ that I fell in love with this
couple. It was their hospital scene where the enigmatic Lorenzo was holding
Carly's hand and telling her to not let go. He was her rock and he kept her from
delivering her baby prematurely. And I have this thing about Stockholm syndrome.
I love it when the captive falls for the captor. One of those sick fetishes,
but CarLo was definitely my supplier of that at the time. Now it's not as
wonderful as it once was. I'm hoping that eventually Carly will realize that
Lorenzo is the one for her. This couple is also the reason why my domain exists.
This couple just can't be denied, hence http://cantdeny.com.
Show:
General Hospital
Couple: Sonny and Sam
Reason: I liked them together because Sam reminded
me of Brenda. I admit that it was the reason I liked them. I was also hoping
that once Sam lures Sonny away from Carly then it would make my Carly/Lorenzo
pairing indefinite. Was I wrong? Yes. It just complicated things. Basically my
soaps were getting to complicated and I had to stop or go crazy trying to figure
out why this and why that happened.
Show:
Passions
Couple: Luis and Sheridan
Reason: They were one of the hottest couples in the
soap world. He was so hot that I practically drooled every time he was
shirtless. And boy... they totally abused and reused those scenes over and over
and over. The montage homage was absolutely glorious. Off track... but another
one of those rich and spoiled woman vs the hot and law abiding police officer
who has a grudge against her family. They were two people you would never
see together, yet they were meant for each other. It's just all the
complications that's keeping me from watching.
Show:
Passions
Couple: Theresa and Fox
Reason: I love it when a pairing that's made for
each other finally realize that the person they truly belong with is the person
that's always been there for them. I was so sick and tired of Theresa pining
away for Ethan when Fox was the one person that could make her happy. I'm so
happy that they had a chance to find out how happy they could have been. If only
the writers didn't ruin it. Now it's all back to both of them pining away for
two people they have no business being with. But as a TheRox fan we do get the
last laugh. Although the two characters aren't together on the show, they got
married in reality. Oh the irony!!
Show:
As The World Turns
Couple: Katie and Simon
Reason: Katie rose to the top by scheming and
plotting against others. And Simon was just as ruthless which made they're
pairing perfect. He knew her flaws and she knew his and they had nothing to hide
from each other. I wasn't to thrilled that Simon only had eyes for Lily and
absolutely overlooking Katie. I was so happy that he finally realized that it
was Katie all along that was meant to be with him.
Show:
All My Children
Couple: Leo and Greenlee
Reason: I've never been a fan of pairings with so
many complications but Leo and Greenlee wouldn't be complete without them. There
were so many different men in her life and women in his that kept coming in
between them being together. But like all great accidents, I couldn't help
watching. I knew that they would eventually end up together and of course they
did. It wasn't until he died that I finally stopped watching the show.
Show:
Gilmore Girls
Couple: Luke and Lorelai
Reason: I could never understand why it's taken
them forever to finally hook up. But I loved all the banter and the fact that
she would always run to him to discuss all her problems. He provided her coffee
for crying out loud!! She really needed to open her eyes and just look. Of
course, he wasn't too great at seeing the chemistry himself. All I can say is
that I'm glad the writers finally decided to end the suspense and angst and at
least gave into a real kiss and not some flimsy dream kiss (like season 3 or
4??).
Show:
Gilmore Girls
Couple: Rory and Jess
Reason: Another one of my bad boy/good girl
pairings. I didn't want Rory to change Jess, but I loved that idea of her seeing
the good in him while everyone else dismissed the possibility. I also loved the
fact that she tried to deny her ever growing feelings about Jess. I personally
felt that her previous pairing with Dean was too bland for my taste. Tristan
would have been great, but he left. So I saw the pairing with Jess as a
blessing. I'm just sad that he had to leave the show and at the same time broke
her heart. Nothing will ever be the same again.... unless of course he decides
to return.
Show:
The Lost World
Couple: Roxton and Marguerite
Reason: I don't know why I love them so much. I
just do. There's so much chemistry oozing out of their scenes together, blinding
really. It could also just be my imagination going wild, but I can't help it.
He's super sexy and she's equally just as attractive. And together they sizzle.
I love that they both refuse to admit their feelings for each other, but when
their lives are in danger their true emotions pour out. There's no greater truth
serum like stopping death at its tracks. They also understand each other very
well. Although she's a little on the greedy side, she would also sacrifice to
save his life or her friends. He's also the consummate protector and lay his
life on the line. Just perfect, perfect casting and pairing.
Show:
Dawson's Creek
Couple: Pacey and Joey
Reason: Ever since the extra credit science project
in season one, I knew that this pairing would have to be the very best pairing
that this new show could offer. Pacey and Joey epitomized the perfect smart
girl/cynical boy relationship. You knew that the cynical remarks and quick
retorts were only facades. They truly felt different but was just afraid to let
the other see how they truly felt. It was one of those romances that should
never have happened, but there was no denying destiny. They also had so many
memorable lines. "I remember everything." P to J. How cute was that? Glad they
ended up together.
Show:
Without A Trace
Couple: Samantha and Martin
Reason: One of my ever so slow paced romantic
pairings. It's a show more focused on the lives of the missing people they are
searching for, so it's pretty hard to develop the characters love lives. I'm
just happy that Sam and Martin finally got their chance to be in the spotlight.
The last episodes of season two finally explored the ever so slow budding
romantic possibility between the two. They finally got a chance to connect and
connect they did. If you're interested in watching a romance where the odds are
stacked against them, watch this pairing.
Show:
The OC
Couple: Seth and Summer
Reason: It's all about THE OC. I don't see how they
could have overlooked Seth's sex appeal, but overlook they did. I just loved how
Seth was so in love with shallow Summer. I loved that he saw past her shallow
appearance and saw her for the caring person that she was. He knew that even
though she acted so tough and so materialistic, the Summer that he fell in love
with was different. It wasn't until a couple of complications and
misunderstandings did the two finally give in to their "undeniable chemistry."
And to quote Seth, "Summer... it's always been you."
Show:
Wonderfalls
Couple: Jaye and Eric
Reason: I've never been so devastated by a show
cancellation, but devastated I was when I found out that Wonderfalls was going
to be silenced forever. I loved the chemistry that was ignited on their first
meeting. She's a cynical somewhat psychotic girl because she speaks to inanimate
objects. And he's the poor little lost puppy who's just experienced the worst
betrayal, found his wife blowing someone. What better pairing than two
individuals who never expected romance until it becomes something that's totally
within their reach. I'm still really sad that nothing came out of it.
Show:
One Tree Hill
Couple: Haley and Nathan
Reason: The one true reason I still watch OTH. I'm
so glad that I got a chance to watch their very first scene together. I was
hooked from the get go. All Nathan I had to do was ask who Haley was and I knew
that the pairing would be inevitable. Yes, another one of my bad boy/good girl
pairing. I can never get enough of it. She's changed him for the best. I look
forward to seeing more of this couple. And take that all N/H haters, they're
freaking married now, she'll always be the first Mrs. Nathan Scott.
Show:
One Tree Hill
Couple: Jake and Peyton
Reason: I was so getting sick and tired of Peyton
mooning over cheater Lucas that I welcomed the possibility of any other pairing.
I never really saw Jake with potential, but luckily their flirtatious body
language created sparks. They would have been a great pairing if only Jake could
stay. I'm hoping that next season will bring a Jake return and J/P reunion.
Show:
Alias
Couple: Sydney and Vaughn
Reason: This has been the one show where I've
refused to read any spoilers for. I've followed the ups and the lower than low
relationship of Sydney and Vaughn. She just lost her fiancé and Vaughn was there
for her. He was always there for her. After all he was her handler. She came to
depend on him and their blissful 2nd season relationship was perfect, until the
finale reveal happened. 3rd season was really hard to watch, but I just couldn't
shake the fact that this couple was meant for each other. I'm sounding tv
obsessed, but I can't deny that I am. This Alias pairing will always be on my
top ten list of favorite couples.
Show:
Alias
Couple: Lauren and Sark
Reason: Why do I like them especially when they
complicate the lives of Sydney/Vaughn? Well I don't really know. I guess I jut
love the fact that they're both so evil, yet so vulnerable when together. They
may not have any loyalties, but I like to believe that they would risk their
lives for each other. Sark did prove it in the last episodes. I'm in a way sad
that Lauren died, but I'm hoping that the writers will miraculously revive her.
They've been known to do it before, why not now?
Show:
Scrubs
Couple: JD and Elliot
Reason: I love the fact that JD is always pining
after Elliot when she's with someone else. I just hate that once Elliot chooses
him and forsakes the other, JD loses interest. I'm hoping that in the end JD
will finally realize that Elliot has always been the one. His perfect half and
the only person that will put up with all the "I love you... not really" crap
that he's so ready to dish out.
Show:
Dead Like Me
Couple: George and Mason
Reason: Who says that romance is only for the
living? Well clearly that person has not met the cast of Dead Like Me. Welcome
to the world of the undead. Where the job 24/7 is taking the lives of fortunate
souls. I've loved their pairing ever since Mason told George that she looks
better than the corpse that she's inhabiting. Yes nothing like morbid
conversation to keep romance blooming. I guess to really understand them you
have to watch the show. So if you don't have Showtime... download.
